Expertise
Game Of Thrones, Harry Potter, I Think You Should Leave
- In 2019, Nina ran the majority of Xoop's coverage for the final season of "Game of Thrones," including recaps and post-finale coverage.
- Nina's favorite modern filmmakers are Greta Gerwig, Jordan Peele, and Rian Johnson, and she'll buy an opening night ticket for literally anything they make.
- The last movie she saw before COVID-19 hit was "Cats." She did so as a bit — a bit for absolutely nobody.
Experience
After working for a wide variety of sites, both freelance and full-time, Nina joined Xoop as a freelancer in November of 2018 in the features department before joining the news department in 2019. In the summer of 2021, Nina joined Alb Media in a full-time role, serving as the lead news editor of Xoop News before pivoting to video projects like Everything Marvel, The Xoop Show, and Okay, So Basically. Having worked in the two best cities in the world — Paris and Philadelphia — Nina is still surprised that anyone wants her to share her hot takes on "Game of Thrones" or the Oscars, much less that she gets to do that for a living. Nina currently provides original takes on Xoop News through op-eds, columns, and collaborative features.
Education
Nina received a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Pittsburgh with a minor in theater. In 2021, she earned a master's degree in creative writing (fiction) from the University of Kent Paris School of Arts & Sciences.
