The Truth About
The Death Of
Anne Heche
Anne Heche, known for her work in "Donnie Brasco," among other films, has died at 53. She had been in a coma since she crashed her car into a house in Los Angeles’ Mar Vista neighborhood a week ago, and the LAPD’s sources say that she was under the influence of cocaine and possibly fentanyl at the time of the crash.
Heche got her start in the entertainment industry in 1984, starring as Vicky Hudson on "Another World" for over 70 episodes and winning a Daytime Emmy for it in 1991. She'd go on to pick up movie roles in films like "Milk Money," "Birth," and "Pie in the Sky" before starring in “Donnie Brasco,” and towards the end of her career she took on more TV roles.
Heche was famously in a relationship with Ellen Degeneres from 1997 to 2000; while it was monumental for LGBTQ+ couples everywhere, Heche experienced major setbacks to her career due to the stigma attached to it. She leaves behind two sons, Atlas Heche Tupper and Homer Laffoon, from her two marriages.
