After 15 seasons, “Supernatural” has officially ended, but die-hard fans always want to know more about the Winchester brothers' adventures. Besides monsters, demons, vampires, and other creatures, pop culture references were also a big staple on the show, and one odd deleted name dropped kids' show icon Fred Rogers.
The DVD and Blu-ray releases of “Supernatural: The 15th and Final Season” and “Supernatural: The Complete Series” contain a scene that was shot for the episode “Our Father, Who Aren’t in Heaven." In the segment, the angel Castiel tries to talk fallen prophet Donatello into assisting the Winchesters in their ongoing battle against God.
After failing to convince Donatello, Castiel implores him using the prophet's own catchphrase: “What would Mister Rogers do?” The scene may be non-canon, but "Supernatural" fans likely would have enjoyed the strange reference to Mr. Rogers in the middle of a fairly dark show, a classic example of the series' off-kilter humor.
