The Better Call
Saul Theory That
Everything About
Gus's Family
One of the greatest villains in television history has to be Gus Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito, and “Better Call Saul” has given viewers a glimpse into Gus's business prior to meeting Walt White and Jesse Pinkman. However, the one question fans continue to speculate about Gus is why they never see the family he claims to have, in "Breaking Bad" or "Better Call Saul"?
When one fan asked the members of the "Better Call Saul" subreddit, "What happened to Gus's family?" Many answers to this question concluded that Gus actually doesn’t have a family, and he only told Walt that he had one in the episode titled “Abiquiu” to gain his trust.
One fan laid out visual cues that strengthen this theory where he points out that when Walt is at Gus's home, you can see kids' items and toys in the background. They then wrote, “Fast forward to when Jessie gets invited over, and the exact same shot from the side is used, and it lingers just long enough for the viewer to see the absence of that table/any trace of children."
