A year ago, New Line Cinema and Warner Animation announced "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim," which won't just be an animated feature — it will be an anime. Some notable names will provide voices, but fans were particularly excited to hear that Miranda Otto would be involved.
The Australian actor is known for playing the role of Éowyn in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Her duel with the Witch-king of Angmar is epic, and her unrequited love for Aragorn is a significant theme in the later portions of the story.
She won't be playing a central part in the story itself, as the tale takes place more than a quarter of a millennium before the events of the original trilogy. Instead, the beloved actor will fill the role of narrator for the film, and with "The War of the Rohirrim” set for an April 12, 2024 release, we have a long time to wait before we hear Otto's Éowyn return to the Mark.
