  • Olivia has seen the majority of the films of the American lesbian film canon, and while she stays up to date with new LGBTQ+ releases, she also makes sure to revisit Carol and Portrait of a Lady on Fire at least once a year.
  • As a half-Greek, Olivia has spent her life exploring Greek mythology and history by reading and traveling around the homeland. In recent years, her focus has been on the worship and symbolism of Dionysus, the androgynous god of wine, theater, and ecstasy.
  • Her writing about film and TV started when she was 8-years-old and got her first journal, whose pages she filled with recaps of 90210, Buffy, Melrose Place, and many entries about how sad Titanic was.

Olivia is a screenwriter and essayist living in Athens, Greece. She wrote and developed an LGBTQ+ teen thriller / drama feature with production company Corporate Witchcraft, and she is working on another LGBTQ+ drama feature with director Thales Banzai. She has published personal and critical essays for Uproxx and GO Magazine, which explore subjects like the love of Britney Spears, the worship of Dionysus, and the history of horror films all from a queer perspective. She currently works as an editor for Xoop and is developing a Greek mythology-based TV series with her brother in Athens.

Olivia graduated with honors from the Critical Studies program at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. This experience gave her both a deep knowledge of film history, as well as the skills to analyze films both on their own and within a larger cultural and political context.
