  • Merri can (and often does) perform the entire "Battlestar Galactica" theme song a capella.
  • A lifelong performer and musician, Merri created a time- and dimension-travelling alter-ego to explore untapped storylines within the time travel and speculative fiction entertainment genres, and who can be found on her Instagram and website.
  • Driven by writing and journalism, Merri started her first newspaper for her elementary school at 8 years old.

Merri Palmer is a writer, musician, and entertainment producer with a long history in the film and music industries. She's produced hundreds of concerts and multiple-day music festivals. She worked for years in the costumes and pyro departments for dozens of commercials, documentaries, and TV shows, including series from Rooster Teeth, AMC, Comedy Central, and National Geographic, providing her a unique look at the way televised stories are told. She's written music reviews for Bandsintown and other ATX publications. As a musician, she has always maintained a sci-fi-inflected, pop culture-friendly bent to her work: She once even wrote an ode to Kara Thrace of "Battlestar Galactica."

Merri attended the North Heights Alternative School, where she founded The Fringe, the school paper (which continues to this day), and went on to publish her writing and editing in literary collection "Voices from the Heights."
