Feel-Good Sitcoms, Space Movies, Screwball Comedies
  • An avid movie-goer his entire life, Duncan accidentally completed a Film Studies Minor while getting an English degree by choosing one movie-related class every semester without realizing it.
  • After a comedy competition, he was once described by Johnny Hardwick (the voice of Dale Gribble) as "hipster nerd Brian Wilson," a compliment he has treasured ever since.
  • Not an actor by trade, he was once cast in a small part in the D&D-centric movie "Zero Charisma" in 2012 by some producers who spotted his friendly dork energy from afar.

Duncan is a writer, standup comedian, and musician. He's written for Splitsider (now part of NYMag's Vulture), as well as for CultureMapATX in his city of Austin, covering local festivals and comic-cons and producing and co-hosting a pop culture-based podcast for a time. As a comedian, he's the co-founder of SURE THING, one of the longest-running standup shows in the country, and he's been featured on multiple festivals

Duncan studied Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies at his hometown University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
