AJ has been freelance writing with a focus on movies and TV for several years. Before joining Xoop, he was a staff writer at for "The Weekender," the arts, culture, and fiction section of UC Berkeley's student-run newspaper. He also wrote about movies for a blog titled "The Dive Collective." Currently, he maintains a personal blog on all things, movies, TV, sports, and more titled "Couch Philosopher."


AJ has a bachelor's degree in English from the University of California Berkeley. His studies focused on contemporary American storytelling.
